Getting paid
What is freight factoring?
You sell a freight invoice to a factoring company for a small fee. We pay you now, then bill the broker and wait for their payment, so you don’t wait 30 days or more. Read the full guide.
How fast will I get paid?
Rush requests fund within 60 minutes. Standard requests are processed and ready to fund the same day.
What do I send for each load?
The invoice and the signed BOL. Upload them in the client portal, or send them by email or fax.
Who collects from the broker?
We do. We bill the broker, collect the payment and handle the follow-up.
Costs
What does factoring cost?
New carriers pay a 2.9% flat fee and get a 97.1% advance. Rush requests add a flat $40 processing fee.
Are there hidden fees?
No. New carriers pay a 2.9% flat fee, rush requests add a flat $40 processing fee, and there are no minimums and no invoice fees. Your quote shows every fee before you commit.
Can I get a lower rate?
There are no contracts, but a lower rate is available if you choose to commit. Call (813) 773-4002 to talk it through.
Contracts and invoices
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. There are no contracts, and you choose which invoices to factor. If you’re ever unhappy, you’re free to go.
Do I have to factor every invoice?
No. You choose which invoices to factor. Your customer pays us on all of them, and when a payment comes in for an invoice you didn’t factor, we pass it through to you.
What happens if a broker doesn’t pay?
Factoring with FFS is recourse by default: if a broker never pays an invoice, you buy that invoice back. Non-recourse factoring, where we take the credit risk, is available on request. Ask us for pricing.
Do you offer invoice discounting?
No. Invoice discounting isn’t common in trucking; we offer factoring only.
Getting started
What do I need to get started?
Your MC and DOT numbers, a W-9, your certificate of insurance, a voided check or bank letter, and your signed agreement. Once you’re approved and set up, you can start sending BOLs right away.
Can a new authority factor with you?
Yes. You can factor from your first load. There’s no time-in-business minimum. Factoring for new authorities.
How long does setup take?
Most of it is the paperwork. Send the documents with your application and we can set you up quickly.
Fuel
How do fuel advances work?
